Location

We board dogs at our West Town location at 506 N. Hermitage Ave., Chicago IL 60622.

Boarding is exclusive to Fit Dog only dogs! This means all pups know one another.   New customers must come to daycare atleast 10 days before scheduling boarding.

Boarding is not guaranteed and needs to be scheduled in advance through your Gingr profile. All boarding invoices must be paid before the boarding stay begins.

Price

Boarding is $87. This includes daycare + overnight. It cannot be broken up—when you make the reservation it is for the day & overnight care. Take advantage of the full day of daycare and drop off you pup when we open! This price is until 9am the next day. If you pick up later than 9:30am, you are charged for another day of daycare.

BOARDING FOOD INFORMATION!

  • Please have your pups food separated individually per meal for their boarding stay in a throw away ziplock bag!

  • Each meal has to be labeled with your pups name, AM or PM, and the date.

  • Please also put medication in specific meal ziplock.

  • If your pup has wet food (canned,or pre packaged) it should also be separated per meal. This helps us make sure your pup is eating the correct amount of food, making sure they have enough meals for their stay, and also makes it’s a lot easier for busy holidays!      

  • A fee will be charged if food is not packaged and labeled correctly!!!!

         **WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY BIG BAGS OF FOOD**

*If your pup is short meals they’ll be given house food which costs $5 PER MEAL*

Boarding Rules

  • Boarding is for current clients of Fit Dog Chicago. If you are in need of boarding you must follow the Enrollment Process, be accepted into Fit Dog Chicago, purchase a 10 Pack of Daycare and schedule at least 10 days of daycare before your boarding reservation. We require a Trial Night of boarding before any boarding can be scheduled. We do this to protect our dogs. We do not allow random dogs at our daycare for daycare or boarding. This reduces the chance of illness, disease, and dogs getting into altercations/fights significantly.

  • Boarding dogs that are crated at home to sleep will be crated during their stay at Fit Dog to keep their normal routine. This allows them to get a good night sleep, along with the other dogs that are boarding.

  • Boarding is billed separately from daycare packages. The bill must be paid to reserve your pup’s boarding stay.

  • Boarding over a Holiday has a certain minium please read below for specifics for each holiday weekend (miniums and rules are subject to chaneg without notice!)

  • Please make all boarding reservations through your Gingr profile.

  • Food must be packaged into meals for all boarding stays. Please send the correct amount of meals.

  • If food is not provided, house food is $5 per meal.

  • If you do not send your dog with food & we need to pick it up will be charged $25 plus the price of the food. 

  • If a dog is not picked up when we close, they will stay for boarding. We do not have late pick up hours. This is for the safety of all the dogs that are boarding. The doors are locked and we do not open them after we close.

  • Boarding is non refundable once the reservation starts.

  • We require a 48 hour cancellation notice through email to cancel a boarding stay - NO EXCEPTIONS! (holidays not included).

  • If you cancel or shorten your boarding stay - the remainder of they stay is not refunded to you. It cannot be credited to other services or a future boarding stay.

  • To secure Holiday Boarding the invoice for boarding must be paid to confirm reservation- no refunds or credits.

A current client is a dog that is enrolled at Fit Dog Chicago and has a Transport Membership or uses our Drop In Service

2024 Holiday Boarding Dates:

These dates must be booked for each holiday stay. They are the minimum stay for each holiday. All boarding scheudled in these time frames is NON REFUNDABLE. No credits or refunds. You cannot credit to a future stay, or different service.

  • A $5 surcharge will be added to your boarding stay on these dates:

    • December 24,25,31

    Dates considered HOLIDAY BOARDING

  • March 28-March 31 Easter

  • May 23-28 Memorial Day Weekend

  • July 2-July 8 4th of July

  • August 29-Sept 3 Labor Day Weekend

  • November 25-Dec 2 Thanksgiving week and weekend

  • December 20-Jan 1 December holidays
